I started Topside Attic Insulation Campbell in 2016 after watching too many crews in the South Bay blow fiberglass over leaky attic floors and call it done. I’m BPI Building Analyst certified, and I still carry a blower door to every job because the number matters. A house in the Cambrian Park area last month read 3,800 CFM50 before we touched it and 1,900 after sealing - that’s not a feeling, that’s a measurement you can take to your utility bill. Off the job, I restore vintage motorcycles badly and cook jollof rice for the crew when we finish a big encapsulation.
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus has been crawling attics and crawl spaces in Santa Clara County for fourteen years, and he can spot a disconnected b-vent in a dark corner from fifteen feet away. He’s our go-to for spray foam jobs in the older ranch homes off Bascom Avenue, where the rooflines are shallow and the access hatches are barely legal size. Marcus holds a Johns Manville certified installer credential and a stubborn belief that every can light needs a ten-minute seal, not a two-minute one. He keeps a battered field notebook from 2012 with sketches of every weird framing condition he’s seen, and he still references it.

Elena coordinates our material orders from Owens Corning, Knauf, and Rockwool depending on the job, and she texts customers when their technician is en route. She runs half-marathons through the Los Gatos Creek trail and brings that same endurance to her Monday morning scheduling.

Devon’s been with us two years, hired after he completed a weatherization training program in San Jose and wouldn’t stop asking questions during a ride-along. He specializes in blown-in cellulose and dense-pack wall insulation, the kind of work where your arms tire before your brain does. Devon’s learning to run the blower door himself, and he’s already better at photographing attic conditions for our Documented Photo Record than some five-year veterans. He lives in a 1954 tract home in Campbell that he’s insulating piece by piece on weekends, which means he understands exactly what our customers are living with.
